Donald Trump Shooting: NFL Players Share Thoughts On Former President Being Shot At Rally

Former President of the United States Donald Trump was shot today at a rally in Pennsylvania during a speech. He appeared to grab his ear as the shots went off and was quickly protected by the Secret Service seconds after the initial shots. The former President seemed to have blood on his ear after the incident and was rapidly escorted away. Reports have come in saying that Trump is ‘doing fine’, however, this event has opened up a lot of eyes around the world, including from some NFL players.

There were many mixed reactions around the NFL world regarding the incident, and some of the league’s biggest stars shared their thoughts on what went down at the rally.

Players like Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, kicker Harrison Butker, New York Jets corner Sauce Gardner, and even former Pittsburgh Steelers receiver Antonio Brown are just a few well-known players who commented on the matter. Most of them seemed to send out their thoughts and prayers to the former President, however, some seemed not to take it as seriously.

Jets corner Sauce Gardner had a tweet making a joke about the shooting, which was later deleted from his page likely to avoid any fines from the league. Here is the deleted tweet:

It has been confirmed that the shooter and one bystander are dead from the shooting as the incident is now being investigated as an assassination attempt. While it seems like Trump will be alright, it will be an event that will be remembered for a long time. What are your thoughts on the shooting and the reactions from these NFL players?
