Donald Trump has been in office since January 20th, 2025. His performance so far in the oval office has been up for debate depending on who you support. One thing is for sure, he is consistently making headlines with his changes.
That was no different when it was announced that Trump is attempting to have a National Monument close to Los Angeles rescinded.
Breaking: Donald Trump To Remove National Monument Close To LA; Fans Explode

A controversial plan by President Donald Trump to eliminate two huge national monuments in California has sparked a debate about executive power and environmental policy.
In a statement released over the weekend, the White House confirmed Trump intends to rescind the designations of the Chuckwalla National Monument in Southern California and the Sattitla Highlands National Monument in Northern California:
Former President Joe Biden established the two monuments in January during the final days of his administration.
Chuckwalla is 624,000 acres of federal land, mostly overseen by the Bureau of Land Management where the Colorado and Mojave Deserts come together in a mix of scenic mountains and canyons that is home to bighorn sheep, desert tortoises and chuckwalla lizards. Sáttítla is 224,000 acres of national forest land in the remote landscapes of Siskiyou and Modoc counties, a landscape rich with bald eagles, black bears and salmon. Together, the two areas are larger than Yosemite National Park.
Both places are sacred to native tribes, who pushed for monument status, which limits logging, mining and other extractive uses, such as energy development. Late Friday night, their fate was called into question.

Chuckwalla National Monument is just a few hours outside of Los Angeles. This news caused fans to react immediately online:
The Trump Administration has yet to make a decision on the #ChuckwallaNationalMonument. But one thing is certain: if the designation is rescinded, we’ll fight like hell to defend it.

Trump wants to eliminate the Chuckwalla National Monument & the Sáttítla Highlands National Monument, which protect a combined 848,000 acres & is of particular significance to Native tribes in the region. Meanwhile he pushes to add himself to Mt Rushmore. Typical tinpot dictator.
