Kerby Joseph had a decent season for the Detroit Lions as he helped the team clinch the Wild Card round. The Lions are holding the second-best record in the league alongside their NFC North rival, the Minnesota Vikings. It’s natural for any player to be a part of such a great run. However, the Lion’s safety was snubbed from the Pro Bowl spotlight.
The Lions had selected QB Jared Goff, RB Jahmyr Gibbs, RT Penei Sewell, Center Frank Ragnow and Safety Brian Branch. Joseph later learned that his was excluded from the list. This news came as a surprise to many, especially since Kerby is leading the league in interceptions.
It’s hard to see Kerby not on that list after all his contributions. The Lions star expressed his feelings after being snubbed.
“I saw it and I was like, ‘wow that’s crazy’ but I wasn’t too sad because my boy was on there. Man, I wasn’t really too worried about the Pro Bowl. I ain’t trying to be in the Pro Bowl. I am trying to be in that Super Bowl. I’m trying to see that for real. So the Pro Bowl is what it is.” Joseph Kerby said.
Lions DB Kerby Joseph does NOT CARE that he was snubbed from the Pro Bowl because he’s “focused” on the Super Bowl:
“All Pro, that’s the real recognition…I’m focused on the Super Bowl.”

Kerby took the news in a sporting manner. Several players might have reacted negatively, but Kerby is focused on the big picture.
Kerby Joseph Lashes Out Matthew Stafford With NSFW Message
Los Angeles Rams QB Matthew Stafford called Joseph a dirty player after his hit on Tyler Higbee. Stafford lashed out Joseph for his performance stating that his play is recorded and it was dirty. Higbee suffered a torn ACL and MCL after the incident.
Stafford was unhappy with the play as he directly lashed out at Joseph, creating a feud. On the other hand, Joseph took to his social media with a bold message for Stafford. Joseph shared a pitcher on his Instagram with an NSFW message.
The Lions safety was holding a whiteboard that said, “F**k Stafford. The feud seems to be far from over between the two NFL stars.
Lions coach Dan Campbell addressed why Kerby Joseph will not be participating in the Pro Bowl.
“I think he is an outstanding safety, and he’s just grown and gotten better and better. It’s not just what you see in the pass game, the interceptions. It’s like the run game,” Campbell said.
On January 6, the Lions will play the Vikings in one of the most important games of the season.
