The Denver Broncos concluded their first week of training camp and will transition into the second week. They will have practices on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, all of which are open to the public. Once Week 2 finishes, the Broncos will have five open practices remaining, including two next week.
All eyes were on whether the front office would reach an agreement on their top receiver before the start of the regular season.
Denver Broncos’ leading receiver enters the final year of his contract

Courtland Sutton enters the final year of his deal and has been actively seeking a contract extension since last offseason. Rather than signing an extension last offseason, the Broncos restructured his contract in exchange for $1.5 million in incentives, which he earned by eclipsing 1,000 receiving yards in 2024. Sutton is scheduled to earn a $13.5 million base salary and a $20.2 million cap hit in 2025, according to OTC.
Denver Broncos make $92 million move on Monday

According to Tom Pelissero, the Broncos and Courtland Sutton have agreed to a team-friendly contract extension, locking him up through the 2029 season. As Pelissero points out, the deal is for four years and is worth $92 million. Sutton’s $23 million APY ties him for the 18th-highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL, per OTC.
