College football fans had harsh words for Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders Saturday afternoon. The Buffaloes lost their sixth game of the season against Arizona at home. The 4-6 Buffaloes have no margin for error in their next two games if they want to make a bowl game.

The season is unraveling rapidly for a coach who called himself the best college coach in the country in an interview that aired on Sept. 17 on 60 Minutes. The Buffaloes were 3-0 when the interview aired.

Colorado has lost six of their last seven games and has now lost four straight games. Sanders criticized his players for their play during the losing streak, especially on the offensive line. Per video posted by Sports Illustrated, Sanders apologized to Colorado fans after the loss Saturday:

“I apologize to the fanbase. They’ve been supporting the heck out of us. And they’ve been showing up and showing out — another sellout crowd that ended in disappointment,” Sanders said. “We’re so close. It’s what I told the team. But yet, so far. We just simply, truly don’t know how to win yet.”
