It has not been a great couple of weeks for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes. Between recruits decommitting and players entering the transfer portal, people have started to question the ability of Sanders to recruit talent. That does not seem to be the case at all after today’s announcement. The No. 1 overall offensive tackle in the 2024 class, Jordan Seaton, announced today that he has committed to the Buffaloes.
BREAKING: Five-Star Plus+ OT Jordan Seaton tells me he has Committed to Colorado!
The No. 1 OT in ‘24 chose the Buffaloes over Tennessee, Oregon, Florida, & Ohio State

Deion Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes Land OT Jordan Seaton
According to 247, Seaton is the top offensive tackle prospect in the nation and the 15th overall prospect. The 6-foot-5, 287-pound tackle out of Florida had over 30 offers and chose Colorado over Alabama, Oregon, Florida, and Ohio State. Sanders and his team had offensive line issues all season. It was one of the reasons that the team struggled to win games down the stretch. This is a massive piece for the team and should help quarterback Shedeur Sanders be more protected.
Huge Win For Sanders
People have been questioning Sanders’ ability to recruit but this should quiet the critics at least temporarily. To beat out the nation’s top programs for a top-20 recruit in the nation is no easy feat. The pitch must have been something special as programs like Alabama can tout College Football Playoff appearances and a long list of NFL alumni. To get this commitment this early also allows Sanders and his staff to focus on other areas of the team.
Colorado will be under a lot of pressure to improve in 2024. This commitment should help them immensely.
