On Monday, the Atlanta Falcons continued to add to their offseason roster ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. The Falcons are allowed to carry 90 players during the offseason, and phase one of their OTAs is set to begin on April 22, two days before the first round of the draft.

The Atlanta Falcons signed a cornerback
Per a statement by Atlanta, the team re-signed free agent cornerback Dee Alford to a one-year deal.
“Alford was a restricted free agent this offseason after spending the last three seasons with the Falcons, but he was not tendered by the organization and, therefore, became an unrestricted free agent when the new league year began on March 12. Alford will be back in the fold for Atlanta, though.
The 27-year-old cornerback started 11 games for the Falcons last season, but appeared in 16 contests. He led the team with 11 passes defensed while also recording 83 tackles, one forced fumble, one sack and one tackle for a loss. Alford first moved into the starting lineup in 2023 at nickel, when he flashed his ability to force turnovers.”

Dee Alford has championship experience
Alford has appeared in 48 games and started in 16 for the Falcons during his three seasons with the team. The five-foot-11, 180-pound athlete recorded 149 tackles, 24 passes defended, two fumble recoveries, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble, and one interception during that span.
Alford played with the Tusculum Pioneers in college before joining the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in 2020 in the Canadian Football League. He won the Grey Cup championship with the Bombers in 2021.

“Thank GOD he’s back, I’m biased though he’s my son’s best friend But one question??? Name me one player at any position in the entire NFL that has had a flawless season why keep dumping on my boy??? He will learn and get better from last year!!! Life lessons,” wrote a fan.
“Falcons never gonna win a Super Bowl until Blank gets people in front office who know how to draft PLAYMAKERS. Not draft like expansion team looking for 2nd string depth players,” posted another.
