Davante Adams’ demands for his new team have been revealed, following the New York Jets‘ blockbuster trade for the All-Pro wide receiver.

Finally reunited with his longtime quarterback from their time together with the Green Bay Packers, Aaron Rodgers, Adams says he’s made it clear that he has no interest in being a short-term rental for the Jets.
“I hope so. That’s the plan,” Adams told reporters on Wednesday when asked if he’d like a multi-year relationship with the Jets. “I never go somewhere in hopes of having to find a new home.”
The Jets are now Adams’ third team in the past four seasons seasons, after two-plus disappointing campaigns with the Raiders.
It would make sense for the Jets to want to rework Adams’ current contract, and sign him to a long-term extension, given that over the next two seasons the 31-year-old is set to count $38.4 million, per season, against the cap during the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

Whether the Jets decide to retain Adams beyond this season, or if the franchise decides to extend his contract to lower his cap hit over the next two years, may hinge on how the final 11 games play out for the receiver and Rodgers.
New York enters Sunday’s game, Adams’ Jets debut, just 2-4 with a division loss to the Buffalo Bills already on the tiebreaker ledger.
Adams has caught 18 passes for 209 yards with one touchdown, so far this season, and the Jets are banking on rekindled chemistry with Rodgers igniting an inconsistent offense.
