Dallas Cowboys: Micah Parsons Doesn’t Want To Miss Out on Dak Prescott’s Gift

Just recently, Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott inked a massive deal that will keep him with the team. Turns out, he has some gifts in store for his teammates and Micah Parsons has no intention of missing out on one.

Prescott and the Cowboys have reached a landmark agreement on a four-year contract extension worth $240 million, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history. This new deal, which includes a staggering $231 million guaranteed, solidifies his place as a cornerstone of the franchise and resolves one of the league’s most significant contract situations.

The announcement came just hours before the Cowboys kicked off their 2024 season against the Cleveland Browns. Prescott’s new contract averages $60 million per year, surpassing the previous high set by quarterbacks like Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence. Additionally, he received an $80 million signing bonus, further cementing his financial success.

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones expressed his confidence in Prescott, hoping he remains the team’s quarterback for the foreseeable future. Thequarterback’s performance has been impressive, highlighted by a stellar 2023 season where he completed 69.5% of his passes for 4,516 yards, alongside 36 touchdowns and just nine interceptions. His accolades include being a three-time Pro Bowler and earning a second-team All-Pro designation.

After news of his new deal made the news, Prescott said that he has gotten measurements for his teammates’ wrists. In turn, Parsons stated in a post he made on his official X account that he’s not going to miss out on a possible gift of a Rolex or Audemars Piguet watch from the quarterback.

This contract marks Prescott’s second major payday, following a four-year, $160 million deal signed in 2021. His current agreement reflects not only his on-field prowess but also the strategic negotiations that allowed him to maximize his value.

As the Cowboys navigate their financial landscape, attention will soon turn to other key players, including Parsons, who is also expected to seek a lucrative deal. In any case, the linebacker will be looking out for both that new contract and a gift from Prescott.
