Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons is still waiting for a contract extension from his team. But while that hasn’t been provided yet by the Cowboys, Parsons is making sure he’s getting his body ready for the 2025 NFL campaign.
Parsons even shared a photo recently via his official Instagram account, showing him inside a gym with Cleveland Browns superstar defensive end Myles Garrett (h/t Brandon Loree of Blogging The Boys).

Garrett and Parsons are easily two of the best quarterback hunters in the NFL today. In 2024, Garrett finished second in the league with 14.0 sacks, while Parsons recorded a total of 12.0 QB takedowns, seventh-best overall.
Some reactions to Parsons’ post:
“Damn what could have been lol”
“I bet it’s cause Micah wants to put on weight like Myles has and iron sharpens iron”
“That’s gr8 to see parsons working out with Myles he can learn a lot from a vet like Myles.”
“Top two😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏”

Dallas Cowboys executive shares uncertainty about Parsons’ extension contract

Parsons, who will be turning 26 years old later this month, will be playing in 2025 under a $24.007 million contract that the Cowboys picked up.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys don’t seem to have a clear answer about where exactly the team is when it comes to negotiations with Parsons.
Via Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk:
Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones was asked that on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Sports Radio channel Monday.
“I’ve never been one to crystal ball when contracts get done,” Jones told host Adam Schein. “I mean, you can be close, you think you’re right around the corner, and then they get pushed out and there’s extenuating circumstances as to why they or their agent don’t want to pull the trigger. So, you know, that’s just a work in progress.
