On the same day that former Dallas Cowboys cornerback Kelvin Joseph was arrested for DWI and a collision resulting in personal injury or death, another former player was arrested for public intoxication. Adam Jones, also known as Pacman Jones, was arrested in Northern Kentucky for public intoxication and assaulting a police officer.
Per a report by Local 12, Covington police officers responded to a call reporting a disturbance at the Second Story Bar at 12:44 am. When they arrived, officers to pointed in the direction of a car that was attempting to leave the scene.
Police pulled over the vehicle and identified Jones as the passenger. While he was not driving, Jones was belligerent towards the officers and was arrested. After being booked into jail, he assaulted the arresting officer, which resulted in a minor injury.
Jones posted a $10,000 bond and was released at 11:30 am.
Former Dallas Cowboys Cornerback Adam Jones Has Been Arrested More than Any Other NFL Player

Unfortunately, this is far from Jones’ first run-in with police. To this day, no player in NFL history has been arrested more times during their playing career than he was. The sixth overall pick by the Tennessee Titans in 2005, Jones proved to be an outstanding talent on the field, but also a huge problem off of it.
So frequently was Jones in trouble with the law that the NFL actually suspended him for an entire year in 2007. It was the first time a player had been suspended for a full season for any action that did not involve drugs.
And while Jones was hopeful that he could win back the trust of Titans fans and the organization, the franchise had had enough. They traded him to Dallas ahead of the 2008 season.
In his lone season with the Cowboys, Jones played in nine games, deflected seven passes, and recorded 31 total tackles.
However, his legal troubles did not stop while he was in Dallas. Jones was suspended again, for “at least” four games, during the 2008 season for an altercation at a hotel. After he was reinstated, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones kept Jones out for an additional two games.
Upon learning that Jones was a suspect in a 2007 Atlanta shooting, Dallas decided to release the troubled cornerback. He did not play in the NFL at all in 2009.
In 2010, Jones signed with the Cincinnati Bengals, the team with whom he played eight NFL seasons. He was an All-Pro in 2014 and Pro Bowl selection in 2015.
Jones retired from the NFL in 2019 after one season with the Denver Broncos.
