The Washington Commanders got a much needed first win over the New York Giants on Sunday. The win signaled hope for a franchise who is starting over yet again. Jayden Daniels has been very efficient so far through two games. He’s completed 75% of his passes, thrown for 410 yards, with zero interceptions and zero touchdowns.
However, as the season continues, Washington could be in a key position to land a former division rival.
Eagles Expected To Pull Off Another Inter-Division Trade (Report)
Bleacher Report’s Scouting Department highlighted how a former Philadelphia Eagles’ starter could wind up in the Nation’s Capital:
Washington Commanders
Add Now: CB Bradley Roby
The Commanders need help at cornerback as it’s one of the team’s biggest weaknesses. Part of the problem is the defense is very young at the position, so adding a veteran like Roby would be a smart move to inject some experience into the meeting room.
Also, it helps that he has experience covering the slot and the boundary.
He last played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023, when he was 32 years old. Based on Pro Football Reference, he recorded 22 tackles, one forced fumble, and 20 completions on 33 targets over nine games.
In addition to winning the Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos, Roby also played for the New Orleans Saints, and Houston Texans
