The Cleveland Browns will be entering training camp next month, just like the rest of the NFL. Cleveland has four quarterbacks competing for one spot, but there is noise starting to float around about who could be the potential Week 1 starter for this franchise.

It appears as if quarterback Shedeur Sanders might have gotten himself behind the eight ball after having traffic violations during the month of June. He is listed as the fourth string quarterback entering training camp for the Browns. It will be interesting to see even if he makes the 53-man roster entering the 2025 NFL season.
Former NFL Player Reveals Alarming Update On Cleveland Browns Quarterback Shedeur Sanders

Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver T.J. Houshmanzadeh was on the night cap show with Darren Waller talking about the current Browns quarterback situation. He made an alarming statement about Sanders’ future with the team and said,
“I was told by somebody that’s in the building, that ain’t a player, it’s really coming down to Kenny Pickett or Dillon Gabriel.”
This would be something if Pickett or Gabriel was the Week 1 starter for the Browns instead of Joe Flacco. This could also mean that Sanders could be potentially cut before the start of the 2025 NFL season as well. Houshmanzadeh is usually pretty good when it comes to finding information like this.

Andrew berry and Kevin stefanski will both be looking for jobs next season if sanders doesn’t play football for the browns this year. Just my opinion.

It is not a surprise that some Browns fans are not thrilled about this report. Some Cleveland fans think that the former Cincinnati wide receiver is just trying to stir the pot on the quarterback situation. However, the Browns drafted Gabriel in the third round, and they also drafted Sanders in the fifth round, so maybe they want to invest more in the third-round selection.
Starting Flacco who is 40 years old in Week 1 is maybe the direction they don’t want to head in. Pickett or Gabriel being the Week 1 starter would be intriguing because maybe the Browns inside the building it is now a two-man race and not a four-man race for the job.
