“I Wish Them A Lot Of Luck”: Donald Trump Addresses Taylor Swift-Travis Kelce Engagement Following Harsh Criticism

Taylor Swift’s engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce, has managed to melt hearts everywhere, including that of US President Donald Trump. While Trump has been lukewarm about Travis Kelce, the POTUS has been very vocal in his stance of hating Swift. In fact, the US President openly said that he “hates Taylor Swift” in previous press statements.

However, after learning about Taylor Swift’s engagement to Travis Kelce, the sitting POTUS said to reporters that he is definitely happy for the couple and also wished them well for their future together.

“He’s a great player. I think he’s a great guy. I think she’s a terrific person. I wish them a lot of luck.” US President Donald Trump commented on Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s engagement in a recent press conference.

Taylor Swift is an open Democrat and openly supported former vice-president Kamala Harris as she ran for president against Donald Trump. In fact, Swift was responsible for many US citizens signing up as voters for the first time in their lives. Swift, supporting Harris, even had many feelings that the former vice-president will be sure to win the presidency of the United States.

However, Donald Trump managed to become the President, and one of the first things that he did was to attend the Super Bowl LIX between Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles. Swift attended the game and was booed badly by the crowd when she was shown on the jumbotron. The POTUS admitted that he supported the Eagles, and Philadelphia ended up winning 40-22 against the Chiefs, to a much disappointment of Kelce and Swift.

Taylor Swift’s Engagement Took Place Two Weeks Back

While Taylor Swift may have shared the engagement news only a day ago, it looks like the celebrity pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end have been engaged for a couple of weeks now. Kelce’s father, Ed Kelce, recently revealed in an interview that the tight end had been putting the engagement off for a while, waiting for the right moment, which left the pop star feeling antsy.

Travis Kelce proposed to Taylor Swift in the garden of his home in Missouri and the couple immediately called their family to make the announcement. Kelce gave Swift a whopping diamond ring with a vintage look, quite different from what celebrities are used to whipping out. According to fans, the ring definitely matches Swift’s aesthetic better than the usual sparkly ones.
