Colorado football could have two representatives at the Heisman Trophy Award ceremony in New York City come mid-December. Following their convincing 34-23 win against the Cincinnati Bearcats last weekend, the Heisman Trophy odds for quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way star Travis Hunter continue to close on frontrunner Ashton Jeanty of Boise State. Although Sanders, the son of head coach Deion Sanders, is near the top of the FBS leaderboard regarding passer rating, passing touchdowns, and completions, Hunter remains the favorite of the two, playing cornerback and wide receiver at an unprecedented level.
A true two-way superstar, Hunter is the Big 12 leader in receptions and receiving touchdowns while playing shutdown defense. Earlier this week, Hunter continued to turn heads when a video surfaced of the 2023 All-American getting in a workout hours before kickoff last Saturday against Cincinnati. With Hunter becoming the first player in Big 12 history to win Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week, fans are baffled by his otherwordly talent.
Colorado Football Travis Hunter Turns Heads For Pregame Workout
According to @SkoBuffsGoBuffs on Twitter:
Travis Hunter arrived at Folsom Field early before the team to get a workout in before the Cincinnati game
Before last Saturday’s win against the Cincinnati Bearcats, elite playmaker Travis Hunter performed a pregame workout before going through a team warmup and playing 130 snaps in a Big 12 tilt. The exercise did not slow down Hunter, with the former top-five prospect tallying nine receptions for 153 yards and two touchdowns. He added two tackles and four passes defended in a 34-23 win. With the victory, Colorado football became bowl-eligible for the first time since 2020.
During the season, Hunter is among the top ten players in the country in terms of receptions, yards, and touchdowns. He also has a conference-best seven passes defended and two interceptions. A consensus top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Hunter took social media by storm following his pregame workout, leading to winning Big 12 Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week:
Hold up…so you’re telling me that Travis Hunter did a WHOLE solo workout and pregame warmup with the team and then ended up playing over 130 snaps in the game… pic.twitter.com/nzrzvU9mKN

What a remarkable achievement by a phenomenal Colorado Buffaloes player coached by Deion Sanders
The naysayers doubted Coach Prime & his players, but Deion Sanders, Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter, etc., never doubted 'We Coming', & Colorado has arrived
