“The Travis Hunter Agenda is Insane” – Colorado Football Star Travis Hunter Under Fire By Fans After Earning Elite Achievement – Week 10

Colorado football will go bowling in 2024. Following a one-win campaign in 2022 and a four-win season in 2023, their first under head coach Deion Sanders, the Colorado Buffaloes are 6-2 after a convincing 34-23 win over the Cincinnati Bearcats on Saturday. Leading the way for coach Sanders and company remains the familiar duo of quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way superstar Travis Hunter. The younger Sanders and the elite Hunter continue to dominate college football headlines. With the regular season past its midway point, each has had their fans clamoring for Heisman Trophy consideration. However, on Monday, Hunter received elite recognition from his conference, which not many, if any, past Heisman Trophy winners have claimed.

Following his stellar two-touchdown performance last weekend against Cincinnati, Hunter became the first player to earn both Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors in Big 12 history. The two-way star also had three tackles and four passes defended in the win. Nevertheless, many college football fans believe the recognition came on the heels of the conference pushing for his Heisman case and not for his performance.

According to Co-Founder & VP of Content at ALLCITY Network Ryan Koenigsberg:

In Week 3, Travis Hunter was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week. This week, Travis Hunter was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week.

He is the first player in Big 12 history to win both Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors.  #HE12MAN

Last weekend, Colorado football megastar and future NFL first-round pick Travis Hunter caught nine passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns while adding four passes defended and two tackles. For his performance, Hunter earned Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week recognition in the Big 12, the first to do so in conference history. Among others worthy of consideration on the offensive side of the ball were Baylor running back Dawson Pendergrass (six carries for 142 yards and a touchdown), Arizona wideout Tet McMillian (ten receptions, 202 yards, and a score), and K-State quarterback Avery Johnson (320 total yards, three touchdowns).

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, Colorado football star Travis Hunter has the third lowest odds to win the Heisman Trophy Award. However, many believe that the Big 12 gifted Hunter the achievement of earning Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week for his performance on Saturday. Many college football faithful put the conference and Hunter on blast for him receiving Heisman consideration based on his team’s schedule strength and lack of elite numbers on either side of the ball:
