For the first time since 2016, Colorado football finished the season ranked in the AP Poll. In year three of the coach Deion Sanders era, the Colorado Buffaloes went 9-4, housed the Heisman Trophy Award winner in Travis Hunter, and earned a trip to the Alamo Bowl, an eventual loss to the BYU Cougars. Following a one-win season in 2022, Colorado brought in Sanders, who rejuvenated the Buffaloes’ roster with NFL-caliber talent. Among them was Hunter and his two sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders. Although Hunter and Shedeur will likely be top 15 draft selections in the upcoming NFL Draft, Shilo has a much less favorable professional outlook.

On Wednesday, reports surfaced that former Colorado football safety Shilo Sanders did not receive an invite to the 2025 NFL Combine. Shilo Sanders spent six years in college with three separate programs and collected 137 tackles in his final two seasons. However, many college football fans took aim at the defensive-playing Sanders for his omission from the 2025 NFL Combine.

    According to JPAFootball:

𝗥𝗘𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧: Colorado DB Shilo Sanders is among the players not invited to the NFL combine.

Following his play in the Shrine Bowl, Colorado football safety Shilo Sanders will not partake in the 2025 NFL Combine. Instead, only four Colorado Buffaloes draftees were invited: Shedeur Sanders, Travis Hunter LaJohntay Wester, and Jimmy Horn Jr. Shilo Sanders, the older brother of Shedeur Sanders and son of Colorado head coach Deion Sanders, operated as a top defender in his two seasons with the Buffaloes.

The safety accumulated 67 tackles, two TFLs, and one sack last season. Shilo Sanders has tallied one interception and six passes defended in his career. Per NFL Draft Buzz, the former sixth-year senior grades as an undrafted free agent and the 45th overall safety. Nevertheless, football fans blasted Shilo Sanders for missing the 2025 Scouting Combine:

Why would someone who is going to be an udfa go to the combine?

How do you snub a guy who is going to be lucky to make a practice squad?

    — Jay (@CousinxJ) February 13, 2025

    No. He’s awful.

    — 🌽BigRedKorner🌽 (@BigRedKorner) February 13, 2025

He didn’t do enough..he actually looked very bad out there in a average

    — Nij (@NijThaGreat) February 13, 2025

Makes sense. He is awful at football

    — Dr. Phillip Oliver-Holz (@ThePhillipHolz) February 13, 2025

He would be bagging groceries if it weren’t for his dad.

    — Jay (@StrongIslandJay) February 13, 2025

Shilo Sanders is already 25. If he make it to the NFL he gone have to go the Undrafted Free Agent route.

    Because he sucks LOL
