With at least five games remaining, Colorado football has a chance to secure a ten-win season for just the second time since 2002. Last weekend, the Colorado Buffaloes beat the Cincinnati Bearcats 34-23, making the now-Big 12 school bowl eligible for only the third time in the past decade. As usual, Colorado received Herculean efforts from superstar quarterback Shedeur Sanders and two-way playmaker Travis Hunter. The son of head coach Deion Sanders, the Buffaloes passer went 25-of-30 for 323 yards and two touchdowns, with both scores going to Hunter. Meanwhile, Hunter added four passes defended and received conference Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Hunter remains one of the favorites to win the elusive Heisman Trophy Award, alongside Boise State elite rusher Ashton Jeanty and lefty signal-caller Dillon Gabriel of the Oregon Ducks. However, on the offensive side of the ball, Hunter remains a primary beneficiary of a stellar season from his quarterback, with some Colorado football fans believing the younger Sanders is vastly underrated in Heisman Trophy talks.

Although much of the talk surrounding the turnaround at Colorado football begins with two-way beast Travis Hunter, Shedeur Sanders is also having an elite season for the Buffaloes. Sanders, a Jackson State transfer who followed his dad’s footsteps in leaving the SWAC for the Colorado Buffaloes, had a fantastic season last year, throwing for 27 touchdowns against three picks. However, with Colorado still struggling to run the football this season, Sanders has elevated his game, with the Buffaloes holding a 6-2 record heading into their bye.
On the season, Sanders leads the Big 12 in completions, completion percentage, passing touchdowns, yards per attempt, and rating. Through eight games, he is 220-of-300, completing 73% of his passes for 2,591 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions. Nationally, he is in the top ten in each significant passing category and is on pace to shatter his previous career highs in counting stats. With Sanders pacing a historic year from a program standpoint while leading the Colorado football team to a potential ten-win season, many fans are pounding on the table regarding his low Heisman Trophy Award odds:
Shedeur is so disrespected

Hot Take here, if Colorado makes it to the BIG12 Championship and wins, I think that means Shedeur Sanders wins the Heisman over Travis Hunter.

Shedeur in my opinion is the Real Heisman front runner, when the season is all said and done those who don't know will understand
