Oregon Ducks Head Coach Dan Lanning Thinks That Ohio State Buckeyes Wide Receiver Jeremiah Smith Is NFL Ready
The Ducks head coach spoke to the media after the game. He praised the Buckeyes freshman wide receiver. Dan Lanning said:
“NFL ready.”
There is no doubt that he and other college football coaches believe that Smith is ready to play in the NFL now. However, he has to wait until 2027 to declare for the NFL Draft. Jeremiah Smith is 6’3″ and weighs 215 lbs. He has a chance to be the best Buckeyes wide receiver ever before he leaves for the NFL Draft a couple of years from now.

He’d be a top 10 pick this year if he was eligible. That boy is that nice

There is no doubt that Smith would be a Top 5 pick if he was eligible for the 2025 NFL Draft. One team that could use Smith right now in the NFL is the New England Patriots. They could use a number one wide receiver for quarterback Drake Maye.
