The College Football world knows that the SEC has been one of the more dominant conferences in recent memory. Alabama, Clemson, and Georgia have all spent consistent time atop the rankings over the last decade or so.
Unfortunately, one quarterback from Clemson is seeing his family thrust into the spotlight.
“Of Course It’s The SEC” College Football Quarterback Sees Family Forced To Answer Questions Publicly

The Tigers’ Week 1 game against LSU is just a few days away, and there has been buzz online regarding a terrifying rumor regarding quarterback Cade Klubnik:
In a post to TigerNet’s message board, a user claimed their brother saw the QB involved in a car accident that left his arm seriously injured — leading to a massive reaction from the college football world.
“Someone Tboned a car at an intersection and my brother just told me that it is Kade Klubnik inside the car that got Tboned and he couldn’t move his arm and shoulder well when they got there. He didn’t text me anything else,” the person wrote.
Fortunately though, according to Klunik’s mom and others, the thread was “100% BS.”
Per national CFB writer Chris Hummer, there is no truth to the Klubnik rumor and the preseason All-American is just fine going into Saturday’s game.
“There’s a rumor going around tonight that Clemson QB Cade Klubnik was injured in a car accident. That is categorically false, per his mom, Kim,” Hummer reported. “Don’t believe everything you see on message boards and on Twitter, y’all. Baseless rumors are cruel.”

Klubnik’s mom, Kim, also made sure to clear the air on her son’s well-being. Telling CBS Sports “Thankfully, it is fake news” and that “Cade is fine!”
“My heart has not stopped racing since someone shared the story with me,” she added. “How can someone be so cruel?”
Klubnik is coming off a year in which he completed 63% of his passes for 3,639 yards and 36 touchdowns to just six interceptions — and he figures to be one of the main characters of this college football season as well.
The Tigers enter 2025 ranked No. 4 in the nation after losing to Texas in the first round of the College Football Playoff last December. Klubnik threw for 336 yards and three scores in that game but it wasn’t enough to keep things particularly close — falling to the Longhorns 38-24 at Texas Memorial Stadium.
Earlier this month, a rumor about LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier also made the rounds on social media claiming that his knee tendinitis was actually a torn ACL and he would be out for the season.
