Colin Kaepernick is reportedly still optimistic about making a return to the NFL according to a recent interview that his girlfriend, Nessa Diab gave. In speaking to TMZ Sports recently, Diab admitted that making a comeback to the NFL is all that Kaepernick talks about.
Kaepernick played for the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2016, after being selected by the team s the 36th pick in the second round of the NFL draft. Despite him performing quite well for the 49ers, the quarterback found himself blacklisted from the NFL after he kneeled before games in order to protest against racial injustice and violence in the US.
“All day, every day! Nothing has changed! Nothing,” Nessa Diab said on TMZ Sports about Colin Kaepernick’s keen enthusiasm on some day playing in the NFL again.
While the NFL has never officially confirmed their reason for not playing Colin Kaepernick again, the player has time and time accused them of not liking his way of protesting against injustice in the country. After the 2016 NFL season, Kaepernick did try out for various teams, but was not selected. Lastly, the quarterback tried out with the Las Vegas Raiders but did not make it to the roster.
Despite Kaepernick having not played in the league for such a long time, the player has sort of become a hero among sports fans. In fact, GQ magazine honored Kaepernick as ‘Citizen of the Year’ in 2017.

Colin Kaepernick’s Former Team Should Not Pay Brock Purdy As Per Colin Cowherd
Meanwhile, Colin Kaepernick’s former team, the San Francisco 49ers, is being advised to not pay Brock Purdy the huge amount of money he is asking for, by NFL analyst Colin Cowherd. On Friday, Cowherd suggested that the 49ers should avoid making the same mistake that the Dallas Cowboys made with Dak Prescott.

In giving Prescott a crazy deal, the Dallas Cowboys diminished their chances of grabbing other talented players in the draft. If the San Francisco 49ers do indeed try to extend Purdy’s contract with the money that he is asking for, the team might not be able to bring in other talented players.

Purdy joined the San Francisco 49ers in 2022, after the team selected him as the 262nd pick in the seventh round of the NFL draft. However, he soon proved his worth for the team, passing for 3,864 yards, scoring 20 touchdowns for the 49ers in the 2024 NFL season.
