The Chicago Bears took a 15-12 lead over the Washington Commanders with less than 27 seconds remaining in regulation on a Roschon Johnson 1-yard touchdown (Caleb Williams 2-point conversion to Cole Kmet). It appeared as if the Bears were on their way to another comeback victory.
However, with three seconds remaining, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels threw a hail mary toward the end zone and it was deflected right into Noah Brown’s hands for a 52-yard touchdown to give Washington the win 18-15 over Chicago. Head coach Matt Eberflus received criticism after the loss.

Chicago Bears Fans Want Matt Eberflus Fired After Latest Loss Against the Washington Commanders
The Bears were seconds away from being 5-2 on the year and the Commanders were going to be 5-3 on the year. Instead, Chicago dropped to 4-3 on the season and Washington improved to 6-2 on the season. Chicago Bears fans were livid after the loss and want head coach Matt Eberflus fired. Here is what fans had to say on Twitter about it:
IN WHAT UNIVERSE DO YOU NOT PUT EVANS AND OTHER TALL RECEIVERS IN THE END ZONE TO KNOCK DOWN HAIL MARY?
COMMON SENSE.
COACHING CHANGED NEEDED LATER THIS SEASON OR IN THE OFFSEASON.
THE BEARS ARE GOOD. COACHING STAFF IS NOT.

Fire the entire coaching staff. Handing off to lineman from the 1 yard line, not blitzing and allowing all day to throw Hail Mary, worst staff in league.

There are a lot of Chicago Bears fans who are fed up with Matt Eberflus. This is a game that they should have won on the road against the Washington Commanders. If Chicago misses the playoffs this season, this is a game to remember.
Arizona Cardinals Next Opponent
The Arizona Cardinals will be the next opponent for the Chicago Bears. With Arizona at 3-4, it is a big game for NFC Wild Card implications later in the season. If Chicago loses this football game, Eberflus’s seat may get warmer.
The Chicago Bears have a lot of talent on the roster. Another key moment in the game for Matt Eberflus’s squad was fumbling on the goal line before taking the lead when they called a run play for an offensive lineman. A lot of the Bears’ problems also fall on offensive coordinator Shane Waldron because the offense has been hit or miss this season.
