The Cleveland Browns have just concluded their rookie minicamp, which garnered plenty of attention for a number of reasons, none bigger than the presence of rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders, whose controversial slide down to the fifth round of the 2025 NFL draft has sparked all sorts of discussions in the football realm.
Sanders appeared to be in great spirits following his first taste of NFL minicamp, as he even shared a photo of himself along with fellow camp participants.
“Thankful for every player apart of our Rookie minicamp. Great relationships was made during our time together. 🧡,” Sanders wrote in a post on X (the social media platform formerly known as X).

Fans are left wondering by Cleveland Browns rookie’s social media post

However, several fans took notice of one particular detail about the photos shared by Sanders. Many were left wondering why rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel was not among those who posed for the snap.
“Where is Gabriel”
“Why isnt Dillon Gabriel in the photo damn haha”
“WHERE GABRIEL AT?”
“No Dillon Gabriel in this photo? 🤔”
“Weird. I don’t see Gabriel?”
“Where is @_dillongabriel_👀 not in photo @MaryKayCabot@ByKimberleyA”
It’s not clear why Gabriel was not in the frame. In any case, the former Oregon Ducks quarterback, just like Sanders, is looking to impress the Browns this offseason.
Cleveland has a crowded QB room that features Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Sanders and Gabriel. That’s not to mention the injured Deshaun Watson, who could miss the entire 2025 NFL season.
