The Cleveland Browns have seemingly moved on from Nick Chubb, but they have a new running back who gives them hope in their ground attack.

The Browns took former Ohio State Buckeyes star tailback Quinshon Judkins in the second round of the 2025 NFL draft, and he carries with him considerable promise, given his college football resume. It remains to be seen whether his game would translate in the pros, but Cleveland should find out more about that, as the team continues its offseason preparations.

What is perhaps certain when it comes to Judkins is that he’s going to give it his all for the Browns, who won just three games in the 2024 NFL season.

“When I come to be a Cleveland Brown, I’m coming in to change the organization, contribute, do the best I can.”Judkins said in an interview with Sports Illustrated’s Gilberto Manzano. “I know what it takes to win, so I’m going to bring that mentality here to Cleveland and do the same thing.”

In Judkins, the Browns have a young weapon that could end up being their top running back, beginning in the 2025 NFL season. But he will have to work for it, as he is not without competition for the RB1 role.

Jerome Ford is widely considered Cleveland’s No. 1 option on the ground at the moment, considering his familiarity with the Browns and advantage in terms of NFL experience.

In any case, Judkins is a young talent to watch out for in Cleveland after he rushed for 3,785 yards and 45 touchdowns in 42 games in college with the Ole Miss Rebels and the Buckeyes.
