The Cleveland Browns are trying to figure out what to do at quarterback for the 2025 season. Deshaun Watson may not be the starter next season.
According to Mary Kay Cabot of cleveland.com, she reported on her Twitter on Wednesday,
“Breaking: #Browns and Carson Wentz ‘definitely have mutual interest’ in him as their bridge QB if they don’t sign Russell Wilson, source tells clevelanddotcom —>”
She covers the Cleveland Browns. Russell Wilson visited with the Browns earlier this offseason and also the New York Giants. Wentz is a free agent. The Kansas City Chiefs are not bringing him back. He was the backup for Patrick Mahomes last season.

It would be a surprise to see Wentz sign with the Browns. There is a chance that Cleveland won’t sign Wentz or Wilson. The Cleveland Browns may decide to pick Shedeur Sanders with the second overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft also.
