Many Cleveland Browns took to social media to ask the team to sign former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick after news came out this week that Deshaun Watson suffered a season-ending shoulder injury against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 10.

The Browns have been linked to several veteran quarterbacks this week. The 6-3 Browns are going with rookie quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson this week, but Cleveland needs to bring in outside help if they want to make a playoff run in January.

Kaepernick was listed as an option by oddsmakers for the Browns to sign. He hasn’t played in the league since 2016. However, Kaepernick has expressed his intention to play this season when he asked the New York Jets for a chance on the practice squad.

Cleveland Browns fans ask for Kaepernick

Fans took to X to beg the Browns to sign Kaepernick. Here are the best takes on Browns fans wanting to sign a quarterback who’s been to the Super Bowl before to lead their team.

@Browns I know Colin Kaepernick is looking for a job. He’s got to be better than that bum rookie you have. Give him a call!

    Why no Kaepernick?

If the Cleveland Browns had no problem paying Deshaun Watson all that money, there’s no reason why they shouldn’t at least make a call to Colin Kaepernick.

I totally understand the sentiment! Kaepernick has shown so much potential and resilience. It would be exciting to see him bring his skills to the Browns and shake things up. Fans deserve a competitive season, and he could be the spark they need!
