Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has revealed that he is dealing with a back injury that got worse in Sunday’s win over the Buffalo Bills. Chase has been the Bengals’ number-one option in the passing game for quarterback Joe Burrow, and if he misses time because of this injury, it would be devastating to this offense.

From the sound of his comments, Chase made it seem like this injury will be something worth monitoring as the week progresses. In the interview, you could hear the concern in the receiver’s voice when talking about how much this injury has been bothering him.
Career With Cincinnati Bengals
The star receiver has been a vital part of this offense since joining the team in 2021. In the first two seasons of his career, he amounted to well over 1,000 receiving yards and was able to get 22 touchdowns. So far in his third year, Chase has 697 receiving yards and four touchdowns and is on pace to have yet another 1,000-plus yards season under his belt.
Even with the star receiver playing so well, if this injury is deemed more serious, it could have a negative effect on his individual play as well as the team as a whole. Cincinnati will face off against the Texans next week who have been shocking a lot of people with their success this season. If Chase is not able to go, the Bengals would be in serious trouble.
