College football fans reacted to the news that Michigan fired one of their top assistant coaches amid the sign-stealing scandal rocking the school’s football program. Head coach Jim Harbaugh agreed Thursday to the Big Ten’s decision to ban him from the sideline for the rest of the regular season.
Michigan fired linebackers coach Chris Partridge Friday as the Wolverines prepared to play Maryland Saturday. They will play Ohio State next week.
It’s unclear why Michigan fired Partridge. However, it doesn’t appear to be a cause of performance on the football field. Michigan linebackers have played well on one of the best defenses at the college level this year.
