Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones might have a team in mind to be traded to after he recently stamped his approval on a trade suggestion on social media. The Chiefs’ star defender has been a holdout all during training camp and practices over the holiday weekend ahead of the Chiefs’ Week 1 matchup against the Detroit Lions on Thursday.

Jones wants more money and a new deal after his spectacular year that helped the Chiefs win the Super Bowl in February. There seems to be no end to the holdout in sight, and Jones’ name has been rumored to be of interest to several contenders this season.

The Dallas Cowboys were one of the teams Bleacher Report’s Brad Gagnon named as a logical place for Jones to land this season. While the Chiefs have not publicly said they’re interested in trading Jones, the All-Pro defender recently suggested he’d be okay with one trade.

Josh Buckhalter with Heavy recently captured a screenshot of Jones’ likes on Twitter.com. Jones liked a trade rumor that he would be traded to the Cowboys. The Chiefs would receive a first-round pick and defensive tackle, Osa Odighizuwa, in return for Jones.

No trade between the Chiefs and Cowboys appears imminent. However, Jones’ like of the trade idea reinforces his stance that he appears committed to his holdout. He seems willing to accept a trade in his quest to receive a new contract.

    And why not?

Jones would be in heaven on a defense where an offensive line must also prepare to block Micah Parsons coming off the edge.

KC needs to pony up some cash and keep him !!!! Unless they could trade him to a crappy team and get a couple early round 1 and round 2 picks plus a couple more for the next year. If not then get his ass on the field now and sign him yourself. Gooooo CHIEFS !!!!!
