The Kansas City Chiefs haven’t been able to stay out of the spotlight ever since their horrible showing in Super Bowl 59.  The Philadelphia Eagles showed that Kansas City is no longer the juggernaut people may have thought they were.

However, wide receiver Xavier Worthy is certainly a bright spot for the future of this team.  Unfortunately, he has been going through some legal issues off the field.

A traumatic experience with his ex-fiance has come to an end for Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy:

Worthy and his ex-fiancée, Tia Jones, have dropped their legal cases against each other.

TMZ reported Tuesday that Worthy is rescinding both his application for a protective order and the lawsuit he filed against Jones as part of an agreement reached between the two.

Jones, who got engaged to the former University of Texas star in July, is also scrapping her application for a permanent protective order against him.

From TMZ: “… as part of the deal the two struck, the Kansas City Chiefs star is rescinding his application for a protective order as well as the lawsuit he filed against Jones late last month. In exchange, Jones is also pulling back her application for the permanent protective order she had been seeking against Worthy.”

“I regret any misunderstandings or conflicts that arose during my relationship with my ex-fiancée,” Worthy said in a statement, per TMZ.

“I also acknowledge that my legal representatives may have made public statements about my ex-fiancée that were intended to protect me but were misstated.”

This is a far resolution from the intense claims he was recently making.  For both sides to drop their charges was not what anyone was expecting.  Certainly not Worthy about one month ago.

Kansas City’s most productive pass-catcher in their 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in February was the wide receiver drafted out of Texas in the late first round in 2024.
