Physical Corner Jeudy-Lally will bolster an already stacked secondary.

After a making a solid name for himself 3 years at Vanderbilt University, Gabe Jeudy-Lally is more than ready to advance his skills at BYU. The Cougars was the spectacular cornerbacks final decision after considering his options. Jeudy had offers from Iowa State, Colorado, Purdue, Illinois, once word got out he entered the portal late last November. Through consistent competition in the SEC, Cougar Nation is excited about what Gabe will bring to the table.

“I like to cover whether its off man, press man…I’m here for it, (I have) high IQ so zone, make money plays, get picks..tackling is my favorite thing to do on the football field” Gabe says during an interview on Nard Knows sports talk show.

Gabe Jeudy-Lally is well acclimated in BYU football fall camp so far.

Career stats for the new man in cougar blue: 63 total tackles along with two interceptions. Although Vanderbilt had trying seasons, teams respected his coverage ability and avoided play calls on his side of the field. After facing NFL caliber quarterbacks such as Ole Miss Matt Corral, Gabe has built even more confidence throughout his SEC college football experience.

“We got one side of the field that can get locked down, my roommate (Kaleb Hayes) can get the other side too. So I mean its going to be hard to get the ball down the football field on us is all I will say” Jeudy-Lally added .

New Cougar Gabe Jeudy-Lally is as advertised during fall camp.
New Cougar Gabe Jeudy-Lally is a clear no fly zone and will be primed for a big season after camp.

With nationally televised games facing Oregon, Notre Dame, and Stanford, the Cougars defense will still take it one game at a time. The BYU Cougars open up the season away against South Florida, Sept. 3.
