The Buffalo Bills received unexpected news hours before they were set to play the Miami Dolphins on Sunday Night Football. The Bills and Dolphins matchup will decide who wins the AFC East. The Dolphins had already clinched a playoff spot on Christmas Eve, but the Bills had not as of Sunday morning.
The Bills received a surprise Sunday afternoon when the Tennessee Titans pulled off an upset of the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars came into Week 18 with a 90 percent chance of making the playoffs, per the Pro Football Network. Those dreams were shredded with their loss to the Titans.
Because of the Jaguars’ upset, the Bills clinched at least a Wild Card spot in the playoffs.
