Brissett’s Big Night
Following a disappointing week against the Jet, Browns bounce back in a big way against the Steelers Thursday night. Jacoby Brissett undoubtedly had his best game as a starter for the Browns. Brissett set the franchise record for passer rating in a primetime game with it being 109.6. He finished the night with 220 passing yards and two touchdowns, also converting some big first downs as well. Nick Chubb and Brissett had the offense rolling as it usually does and the defense stepped up as well.
Cleveland Defense Steps up
Following defensive let downs during the first two games of the season, the Browns defense stepped up in a big way Thursday. Following two weeks where the defense had given up a combined 34 points in the 4th quarter, they only gave up 3 against the Steelers. Before that, the Browns were tied with the Ravens for most points allowed in the 4th. Watching the game, it was clear that the defense for the Browns came out and played disciplined and as one unit. This Browns team is one hiccup away from being 3-0 with their backup quarterback.
Browns Vs. Falcons
The Browns surprisingly have one of the best offenses in the league to start the season, and the defense was lack luster the first two weeks. The defense absolutely looked better this week, and hopefully continues to improve more moving forward. Following up a win against the Steelers, the Cleveland will travel to Atlanta to face the Falcons. This game will take place October 2nd at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This game will be shown on CBS and Starts at 1 p.m. The Browns will look to improve to 3-1 on the season. Considering how tough the schedule gets following this week, this seems like a must win game early on in the season.
