Minnesota Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins limped off of the field with an apparent leg injury in the game against the Green Bay Packers. Cousins and the Vikings offense failed to convert and a third down and the quarterback was immediately in a lot of pain after landing awkwardly going through his throwing progressions.

Kirk Cousins Injury
The Vikings are currently leading the Packers in the fourth quarter and have looked good offensively. However, Cousins has now been ruled out of the game after suffering what is said to be an ankle injury. In this game, he amounted to 274 passing yards and two touchdowns before suffering the injury.
Minnesota has already suffered significant injuries with star players this season including star wide receiver Justin Jefferson who has been out for the last couple of weeks. Now with Cousins hurt, the Vikings will have to step it up and finish strong if they want to hold on for the win.
2023 Season
Cousins has gone for 2,057 passing yards and 16 touchdowns this season which is amongst the top five quarterbacks in the league. Backup Jaren Hall will now be the quarterback to finish off the game and could play next week depending on the severity of the injury.
The Vikings are currently 3-4 this season and have been starting to find their groove. However, if this injury to Cousins is indeed serious, it could significantly hurt the Vikings’ chances at a playoff push. This is an ongoing situation and will be updated as more details come out this week and throughout the day.
