The Buffalo Bills are off to an extremely hot start in 2024. They’ve taken down the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins, and Jacksonville Jaguars en route to a 3-0 start. Their start has surprised some NFL analysts who expected Buffalo to struggle this year.
Those expectations were not totally unwarranted, Buffalo did lose three key veterans this off-season in Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, and Stefon Diggs. Diggs was by far the most tumultuous of the three as he essentially forced a trade off the team.
Following Buffalo’s dominating win over the Jaguars, QB Josh Allen had some things to say.

According to Alex Hoegler of Total Pro Sports:
Speaking to reporters after the game, Allen took a subtle shot at Diggs by voicing his appreciation for the selflessness of Buffalo’s offensive weapons, via ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg:
“When guys get to buy into this and really understand, like, ‘I may not get the ball four or five times thrown to me a game, but the one or two times I don’t, I’m going to have opportunities.’
And it’s a fun and wonderful thing when you got a bunch of guys that don’t care about the stats, they don’t care about the touchdowns. And again, I think throughout practice we just had this mindset of, like, ‘Hey let’s just do things the right way and find ways to win football games.’ That’s what we’re doing right now.”
It’s no secret that Diggs’ behavior and attitude became a problem for the Bills. He memorably berated his quarterback during the club’s 2022 Divisional Round loss to the Cincinnati Bengals and left the locker room early following the loss.
Through three weeks, Allen is a favorite to win the NFL MVP award:

Obviously it is still early in the season, however, Allen is performing like one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, and everyone is noticing.
