Bill Belichick’s leaked email was recently discussed by Bill Simmons from The Ringer. Belichick’s email was leaked by his girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. In the email, Belichick can be seen stating that he was the main reason for the team to grow from a million-dollar franchise to a billion-dollar one.
However, he did not seem to credit Tom Brady, who won six Super Bowls for the team, for anything. From the contents of the email, it looks like there were ego issues between Belichick and Brady, as echoed further by Bill Simmons.
“Everyone was like, ‘Patriot Way, Patriot Way, we’re just about Super Bowls.’ But there was clearly some sort of ego thing and it’s two guys that really understood their place in history in a whole bunch of different ways, right? I think that really explained to me why Brady didn’t end up [re-signing] with the Patriots because what everybody was writing about and doing the sports radio topic of ‘who’s more responsible for all the Super Bowls: Belichick or Brady?’ And the right answer was always both. They needed each other and that’s the answer.” Ben Simmons said about Bill Belichick and Tom Brady.
Bill Belichick has been coaching since 1975, after he got a job with the Baltimore Colts as a special assistant. Despite having coached a number of teams in various positions, Belichick is mainly known for his time with the New England Patriots in 1996 then from 2000 to 2023.
Bill Belichick’s Relationship With 24-Year Old Jordon Hudson Mocked In SNL Skit
While Bill Belichick has been mainly pushing his book ‘The Art of Winning’, his relationship with 24-year-old Jordon Hudson, with whom he shares a 49-year age gap seems to have overshadowed the whole thing.
The Saturday Night Live show also took time to make fun of Belichick’s relationship with Hudson. In the skit, the actors reveal a law called ‘The Belichick Law’ which makes it okay for a 70-year-old man to date a 24-year-old.
Belichick and Hudson have been trolled mercilessly for their relationship, which many deem inappropriate considering their large age gap. During a recent interview with CBS, Hudson’s behavior was criticized, especially with her interfering with many of Belichick’s responses.
She also interrupted Belichick when he was asked by the interviewer when and how the two met. According to reports, Belichick and Hudson met when they were in the same flight and immediately hit it off when she asked him to sign one of her books.
