In one of the recent episodes of the “Sports Media with Richard Dietsch” podcast, veteran NFL reporter Peter King gave his honest take on the issue of coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson.
He called the interview “totally embarrassing” for a number of reasons.
“This is a guy who owned every room he ever walked into,” King said. “And now he’s got a 24-year-old muse telling him what to do or trying to control situations that, quite frankly, she has nothing to do with or should have nothing to do with.”
“Bill’s got to get a hold of himself here. He’s got to get a hold of this situation. This is embarrassing. It’s totally embarrassing for a guy who’s as great at his job as he is.”
“Why is he on a national TV show looking like he’s going to a press conference in Foxboro on no sleep, and then he walks out of a hotel going wherever he’s going?” King asked. “That was a terrible look in the first place.”
Bill Belichick has faced criticism for his relationship with Jordon Hudson, who is 49 years younger than him. The couple met on a flight in 2021, and their relationship became public in 2024. Many observers have questioned the significant age gap, with some arguing that it raises concerns about power dynamics.
Beyond the age gap, Hudson’s presence in Belichick’s media engagements has led to speculation that she is overly involved in shaping his public image. Some reports claim she has influenced his interviews, while others argue that she is simply acting as his publicist.
