Bill Belichick Shockingly Hinted To a Potential Team-Up With Aaron Rodgers in 2025

Bill Belichick has some telling statements about the New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and he may have even been hinting at wanting to team up with the future Hall of Fame quarterback in 2025. While many think that Rodgers should retire after this awful season, Bill is not one of those people.

Bill Belichick Thinks Aaron Rodgers Is Still One of The Best in the NFL

As Rodgers and the Jets have been struggling all year long after his chilies injury last season, many people have been calling for Rodgers to retire after this season. Bill heavily disagrees with that and on the recent episode of the “Let’s Go!” podcast he told Jim Gray that he would not be surprised at all if Rodgers has a major bounce-back year next season:

“[Rodgers] could easily rebound from that and be ready to play and have a good year next year,” Belichick said. “You look at all the quarterbacks in the league that are kind of on their second teams and they’re doing pretty well, Russell Wilson and Geno Smith and [Sam] Darnold, Baker Mayfield, you go right down the line, [Matthew] Stafford for that matter, Jared Goff.”

“These guys that switch teams, they get in a different system, things are a little bit different for them, maybe they learn some things from whatever it was their previous experiences were. It changes,” he added. “When a guy has a long career and a good career, sometimes one season is just a bump in the road. It’s not necessarily the end of the road.”

These statements as well as others have made many analysts speculate that both the legendary coach and quarterback could team up in 2025 for a new team. Belichick is clearly much higher on Rodgers than the rest of the NFL world and he still believes Rodgers has some great football left in him:

“One thing you run into sometimes with players as they age in their career is the injury factor. And sometimes players can have an injury at the later point in their career and make it look like maybe it’s an age problem when actually it was an injury problem,” the coach pointed out. “And then once that injury clears up, then there’s a lot more good football left in that player.”

NFL fans have been reacting on social media to a potential team-up of these Hall of Famers, and most fans think it won’t go too well:

“It would be a disaster. Aaron aint buying into the Belichick way,” one person said.

“Nah. Ask Bernie Kosar on what Belichick thinks of over the hill QB’s,” a second person added.

“Rodgers couldn’t handle it,” chimed in a third person.

A 72 year old coach and a 40 year old QB (who’s not Brady). What could go wrong?” asked a fourth person sarcastically.

“Rodgers needs to either get with the times of how offenses are ran next year or it wont matter who his coach is,” a Packers fan said.

We will have to wait and see how the 2025 offseason goes, but one thing is certain, that it will be one of the craziest ones yet.
