The Cincinnati Bengals can’t wait for the 2024 football season to kick off. Cincinnati fans experienced some tough times in 2023 due to injuries and missing the playoffs entirely. Of course, Joe Burrow missing most of the season played a huge factor, but missing the playoffs all-together is a tough pill to swallow when you enter the season expecting to compete for a Super Bowl.
Those expectations are no different with a healthy QB1 back, but there was one more announcement today that will get fans excited.
Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow Makes Massive Announcement Ahead Of Week One Vs. The New England Patriots
According to Olivia Ray, a Bengals insider:
“We’ve had work days the last, all offseason into training camp, and the last couple of weeks. We’ve got the work in that we need.”
Joe Burrow on how he and Ja’Marr Chase have prepared.
“He’s ready to go…I’m confident if he goes out there Sunday, he’ll be the Ja’Marr we all know.” Bengals
In three seasons, Chase has hauled in 268 catches for 3,717 yards and 29 touchdowns for quarterback Joe Burrow.
Whether Chase will play against the Patriots in Week 1 on Sunday is uncertain, but Burrow said the team is prepared for either scenario.
Since Cincinnati exercised Chase’s fifth-year option for 2025 earlier this year, he is under contract with the Bengals for two more seasons.
According to most experts, if Chase and the Bengals are able to agree on an extension before the start of the 2024 season, the total salary will be around CeeDee Lamb’s ($136 million) and Justin Jefferson’s ($140 million) salaries.
