A Packers fan, college football and especially NFL draft fan. He has been writing about the NFL draft off and on since 2001, but more heavily the last four years.

We are finally back to finish up the offense with my final interior offensive linemen rankings. I like most people in the scouting community combine both guards and centers for my rankings because there is so much versatility that goes on in the NFL that most interior offensive linemen need to be able to play both unless you are a top level guy. This years interior offensive line group is very deep. This years group is full of centers and guards, but also a lot of college tackles that project to move inside in the NFL. One caveat though is…

Here we are. I am finally catching up on my final positional rankings. This time we take a look at the offensive tackles. I waited a bit because its such a weird offensive line class that I needed to see some of these guys measure in and at least a few of them work out. Most of them didn’t do agility drills which makes it more difficult, but as I said its a weird class. Overall its not a very strong offensive tackle class, its a class full of guys who will end up moving to guard in the NFL.…

While the Green Bay Packers are set at least four starting offensive line spots for 2025. Rasheed Walker, Elgton Jenkins, Sean Rhyan and of course Zach Tom. Josh Myers is a free agent and likely to move on. Now what do the Packers do at center? and what will they do in the future? What Will The Offensive Line Look Like? Do they move Jenkins to center? He has played there before (in college and the NFL). Sean Rhyan has gotten The Green Bay Packers are facing decisions about the configuration of their offensive line moving forward. Options include…

I recently wrote about wide receivers at the Senior Bowl that fit the Packers thresholds and narrowed it down to about three guys. It was requested that I also apply this to the Senior Bowl edge rushers to find which guys fit the Packers thresholds. Most positions this would be somewhat difficult, but with cornerbacks, wide receivers and edge rushers the Packers are pretty specific in what they look for. Obviously we do not have athletic testing for these players yet, but we can still get it narrowed down and base some athletic factors on “film speed”. So lets talk…

Coming towards the end of the 2024 NFL season it was thought that while the Packers had some receivers coming close to the end of their rookie deals, that they likely would not take one in the 2025 NFL draft until maybe late day three or if someone unexpectedly drops and this years class wasn’t seen as a great class either as far as the top talent. Once Christian Watson tore his ACL on January 6th in a non contact situation. This changed the math for the Packers since it meant that Watson would miss the vast majority of the…

Now we move onto the tight end group in my final rankings. This years tight end class is stronger overall than last years. Last year it was basically Broc Bowers and everyone else. There are a number of day two type players in this class and all bring something different to the field. This class lacks the star power of a Bowers, but its a better overall class. You can also see my final quarterback rankings as well. Lets get to the fun. Top Five Tight Ends Tyler Warren, Penn State: Tyler Warren came into the season as a talented yet…

Here we are at my final positional rankings for the wide receivers group. Like the previous parts I will give you a top ten. This years wide receiver class is pretty weak at the top and its kind of surprising after having what seemed like four straight draft classes of strong receiver groups. This of course was expected to eventually happen. There is some fun/interesting depth to the class thought. A lot of #2/#3 type receivers. Top Five Wide Receivers Luther Burden III – Missouri: Burden might be the biggest play maker in the class and has the highest potential. He…

This years running back class is crazy deep. I don’t remember the last time we had one so strong. I have so many backs with day two grades its nuts and it means a number of day two talented running backs will be available on day three. There will probably even be a number of guys that go undrafted that make NFL rosters. So it was hard to pick a top 10, because I had to leave a number of guys off that were deserving, but lets get to it. Top Five Running Backs Ashton Jeanty – Boise State: Could it…

Welcome all to my final positional rankings. I do these in lieu of a big board. We are starting off tonight with the quarterback position.  This years quarterback class is a really shallow as far as depth and even strength at the top. This class reminds some people of the 2022 draft where Kenny Pickett was the first and only first round quarterback in the class. He didn’t go until pick 20. I don’t feel its as bad as that class, but its close. I have only two quarterbacks with 1st round grades. So lets get to my top 10…

Our final stock up, stock down article for the season. The regular season has ended and the conference championships have taken place. All that’s left in this 2024 college football season are the playoffs. But before we get there lets go over some final players who raised their stock over the last few weeks of the season. Stock Up Mishael Powell-Miami: Powell transferred to Miami in the off-season and got very little talk. He ended up being a big pick up for a Miami defense that struggled throughout the season and was one of its lone bright spots. Powell played…
