Jackson is alleged to have committed several NCAA infractions along with former head coach Herm Edwards and a plethora of members of his staff.

Jackson allegedly provided impermissible benefits to recruits that the Sun Devils and head coach Herm Edwards had their eye on.
Jackson allegedly paid for Arizona State recruits’ flights and lodging during a time when recruits were not supposed to be allowed to visit.
Jayden Daniels’ mother denied allegations that she provided impermissible benefits to Arizona State Sun Devils recruits
When the allegations of Jackson’s NCAA violations came about in the summer of 2021, Jackson refuted any wrongdoing.
According to an article from Arizona Sports, Jackson allegedly helped book more than $1,100 in flights for recruits.
That includes screenshots of emails that show Regina Jackson, the mother of star quarterback Jayden Daniels, allegedly helping book more than $1,100 in flights for recruits and the adults accompanying them on a recruiting trip from Florida, according to the documents.
Jackson denied those allegations and told Yahoo Sports that the email address used to book those tickets was “compromised.” Jackson said she canceled the charges when she found out what happened.
While the Arizona State Sun Devils were forced to disassociate from Daniels’ mother, Daniels himself was not implicated in any wrongdoing.
The disassociation comes as a part of a historic penalty dished out to the Arizona State Sun Devils and former HC Herm Edwards
The disassociation between Arizona State and the mother of Jayden Daniels comes as a small part of a much larger punishment given to the Sun Devils, former head coach Herm Edwards and many members of his staff during that time.
Edwards agreed to a five-year show-cause penalty, which is one of the longest show-cause penalties given out in NCAA history. Edwards negotiated the resolution with the NCAA Infractions Committee, who came to the conclusion that Edwards impermissibly recruited over 30 prospects during the COVID-19 no-visit period.
Nine of the 10 wins accrued by Edwards from 2021-2022 will be vacated due to the use of one or more ineligible players.
Six other former members of the Sun Devils staff were given similar show-cause penalties. Assistant coaches Derek Hagan, Prentice Gill, Chris Hawkins, Robert Rodriguez and Zak Hill along with equipment employee Eric Bowman were given show-cause penalties between three and 10 years.
Other staffers like Antonio Pierce, who is now the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, and Anthony Garnett will have separate cases heard by the NCAA Infractions Committee.
Chief hearing officer from the Committee on Infractions panel of the NCAA Jason Leonard explained that the Sun Devils’ cooperation was ideal in an article from 247Sports.
“The school’s acceptance of responsibility and decision to self-impose meaningful core penalties is a model for all schools to follow and is consistent with the expectations of the NCAA’s infractions program,” said Jason Leonard, chief hearing officer for the Committee on Infractions panel, in a media release by the NCAA.
