The Cardinals are sending two of the team’s 777 planes to Los Angeles this afternoon, picking up the Rams team, its staff, their families, six dogs and two cats — yes, six dogs and two cats, per an official — and bringing them to Arizona tonight.

Arizona Cardinals Stepping Up in Time of Need
The Cardinals reportedly offered two of their jets to transport 350 individuals, including Rams players, coaching staff, family members, and eight pets (six dogs and two cats). Additionally, 100 more personnel, including gameday entertainment staff, are set to arrive in Arizona via other arrangements before the Monday evening kickoff.
The team also coordinated 15 buses, which grouped up 750 fans to go to Arizona. Meanwhile, Kelly Stafford, wife of Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, worked with the organization to get more transportation for supporters. The excitement of Rams fans was such that 25,000 tickets sold during an exclusive presale window for season ticket holders of both teams.

SoFi stadium isn’t right in the line of the fires, but the NFL moved the game to the Cardinals State Farm Stadium because the threat extends beyond that, taking into account air quality and putting a strain on local emergency resources. The league’s priority was to protect all involved while allowing the game to get underway without too much upset.

While it’s hard, they will focus on what is at hand: facing the 14-3 Vikings in what should be a high stakes affair. While the Vikings come in as the favorites, the Rams are hoping their resilience in adversity will see them win in unfamiliar territory.
The Cardinals’ act of camaraderie here shows it best, but it’s also the NFL’s great power to bind its teams together in times of crisis. Moments like these show the humanity which stands beneath the rivalry.
