The Alabama Crimson Tide is starting to see more and more players leave the program. After Nick Saban retired last week, a 30-day transfer portal window opened for the program players. While it hasn’t been a mass exodus so far, the number is starting to grow. Upperclassmen cornerback Trey Amos announced that he is entering the transfer portal.

Alabama Loses CB Trey Amos To The Transfer Portal
Amos played some in 2023, recording 12 tackles and six passes defended. He was behind two NFL-caliber corners, which limited his playing time. The program was hoping that Amos could take over as those players left. Amos decided to take his talents elsewhere. With one year of eligibility remaining, the talented corner will be one of the hottest names in the portal.
2024 Outlook
It is difficult to clearly understand what 2024 will look like for the Crimson Tide. There is so much up in the air right now. We have to wait until the 30 day window closes in order to see who exactly is on this roster for 2024. If there is a silver lining for the program, it is that quarterback Jalen Milroe has indicated he is staying. The quarterback position is the most important in the game. If they can build around him, this team could still make some noise in 2024.
New head coach Kalen DeBoer has his work cut out for him at Alabama. Can this team recover from losing a legendary coach and compete this year?
