Alabama’s football season has gotten off to a crazy start. Just two weeks ago, we were talking about them being the number-one team in the county after they beat Georgia. Seven days later, they went on the road and lost to Vanderbilt, which lost earlier this season to Georgia State.
The Crimson Tide’s defense has been horrible for the last six quarters, but one Alabama columnist has more issues with what new head coach Kalen DeBoer wears on the sidelines than with what is happening in the game.
Alabama Columnist Goes After How Kalen DeBoer Dresses
Goodman was unhappy that DeBoer was wearing T-shirts on the sidelines. Here are some of Goodman’s thoughts.
No, in Alabama, we’re eager to understand why football coach Kalen DeBoer dresses like he shops at Walmart.
Not that there’s anything wrong with Walmart. That’s where I get all my undershirts and ankle socks. It’s just that, shouldn’t the head coach of Alabama football wear something a little nicer during games than an oddly fitting, untucked workout T-shirt he found on the clearance rack next to the Little Debbies?
I mean, have you seen this guy on the sidelines? First it was hoodies and on Saturday it was a bargain-shoppers blue-light special. They say that clothes make the man, and I’m not sure that’s true, but the clothes DeBoer has been wearing during games kinda reflect the style of football at Alabama recently … sloppy.
There is a lot wrong with Alabama, but pointing out how the head coach dresses is the least important issue in Tuscaloosa.
If Kalen DeBoer doesn’t work out at Alabama, it’s not because he likes to wear T-shirts and hoodies; it will be because he loses to teams like Vanderbilt.
Alabama fans and media members seem to be broken now that Nick Saban is no longer around, and you know it’s bad when one of their biggest writers goes after how the head coach dresses.
