Aaron Rodgers has been one of the most talked about players this off-season. Following his release from the New York Jets many thought Rodgers would have multiple suitors lining up to sign him. That hasn’t been the case as Rodgers has been reportedly waiting to hear back from teams.
Today, he did hear back from at least one of those teams.
Aaron Rodgers Sees Another Team Reject Him (Report)

It appears Aaron Rodgers will not be able to emulate Brett Favre’s NFL career path:
NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reports the Minnesota Vikings are “not pursuing” Rodgers as the veteran quarterback lingers on the free agent market.
Instead, Minnesota is “moving forward” with J.J. McCarthy as its starting quarterback after “rejecting multiple trade calls” surrounding the 2024 first-round pick.
The Vikings were believed to be Rodgers’ preferred landing spot during the 2025 NFL offseason. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the 41-year-old “would like to sign with the Vikings” in a Tuesday episode of his self-titled podcast.

Rodgers’ preferred landing spot during the NFL offseason in 2025 was believed to be the Vikings. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 41-year-old “would like to sign with the Vikings.”
Over the weekend, The Athletic’s Michael Silver, Dianna Russini and Alec Lewis reported that Rodgers has put the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants “on hold while he awaits clarity regarding the Vikings’ situation.”
That clarity is now available to Rodgers. Nevertheless, it isn’t expected to alter his timeline for choosing a new team. In a report by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the veteran says he has no rush at all as he considers retirement options in 2025.
It seems like Rodgers will be playing for the New York Giants or Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025, if anyone at all.
