The ongoing drama surrounding Aaron Rodgers’ next move took center stage again this week, as the veteran quarterback continues to delay signing with a new team after parting ways with the New York Jets earlier this year. With the Pittsburgh Steelers rumored to be the frontrunner, his absence from the team’s first OTA session raised eyebrows—and sparked fiery commentary from media figures.
On Wednesday’s episode of Speak on Fox Sports, Joy Taylor didn’t hold back.
“This is the Pittsburgh Steelers — they have six Lombardis. They’re coached by a first-ballot Hall of Famer — Mike Tomlin, who’s never had a losing season,” Taylor said. “And we’re sitting around talking about ‘Aaron Rodgers is not there on the first day of OTAs.’ Mandatory or not — where is your pride? Where is your dignity? Where is your respect for the game?”
She went on to question Rodgers’ respect for the organization and the NFL as a whole. “Where’s this organization’s respect for the history that they have in this league?”
Taylor’s passionate rant struck a chord with many fans eager to see clarity around Pittsburgh’s quarterback situation. But not everyone was buying into her reaction.

Jason Whitlock clapped back during Wednesday’s episode of Fearless with Jason Whitlock, dismissing Taylor’s comments as an overreaction and questioning her place in the sports media space.
“An overgrown child with big breasts,” Whitlock said bluntly. “I know y’all think I’m just trying to be provocative and sensational, but it is what it is at this point. It’s so obvious.”

He didn’t stop there.
“This is what happens when you inject women everywhere. Joy Taylor has a proper function in society and an important one. She’s completely outside of her role.”
Whitlock claimed the credibility of women in sports media lacks proper scrutiny and blamed the broader media culture for allowing it.
“I don’t just want to blame Joy Taylor and women. How did we get here? Who set the stage, who set the standard for this?”
Aaron Rodgers might’ve dropped a hint about joining the Steelers
While Rodgers hasn’t signed with anyone yet, he might have teased a move to Pittsburgh. At an event in Austin, Texas, a young fan asked if he’d ever play for the Chicago Bears.
“I believe there’s a team that might play in Chicago this year on a road trip,” Rodgers replied. Coincidentally, the Steelers visit the Bears in Week 12. Let the speculation continue.
