Aaron Rodgers’ non-decision about the Pittsburgh Steelers has former NFL safety Ryan Clark advising the team to simply tank in the 2025 NFL season. Clark reasoned on ESPN’s ‘Get Up’ that by tanking, the team might be able to bring in Arch Manning, who currently plays for the Texas Longhorns.

Manning has been with the Texas Longhorns since 2023 and is expected to enter the draft next year. In the previous season for the Longhorns, Manning managed to throw for a total of 939 yards, scoring nine touchdowns while managing a pair of interceptions.

“To me, this isn’t a team that’s ready to compete. Which I’m fine with because I felt like you didn’t make a decision to get a quarterback in the draft. Maybe your evaluation was that none of them were good enough and that Aaron Rodgers was better, but if you’re gonna suck, suck all the way. Let’s go get Arch or let’s go get Nussmeier. Let’s get somebody that can really go. But don’t add more to this team and try to get Aaron Rodgers and be mediocre enough to not pick high.” Ryan Clark said on ‘Get Up’ on ESPN about the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are hoping to bring in Aaron Rodgers to their squad for the upcoming NFL season. However, even if they bring in Rodgers, the team will be far from performing. In the 2024 NFL season, the Steelers finished second in the AFC North after winning ten games and losing seven. Pittsburgh made it to the Wild Card round to play against the Baltimore Ravens, but lost 28-14, and was eventually chucked from the tournament.

Aaron Rodgers Advised To Get Into Football Broadcasting

While Aaron Rodgers is still undecided on playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2025 NFL season, there are many who think that the veteran quarterback should simply retire from the sport. Recently, DeMarcus Ware, retired linebacker, spoke to Kay Adams on her show and advised Rodgers to simply retire from football and become an NFL broadcaster.

According to Ware, Rodgers has already accomplished plenty by playing in the sport and that it’s time for him to hang up his cleats. Ware also admitted that ‘there’s nothing he (Rodgers) needs to accomplish’ as a player.

Rodgers has been playing in the NFL since 2005, competing most of his career with the Green Bay Packers. In the 2023 NFL season, the veteran quarterback joined the New York Jets but was let go by the team earlier this year.
