Aaron Rodgers is certainly the most polarizing free agent left standing during the 2025 off-season. The four time MVP quarterback has been on the hunt for a new home ever since the New York Jets decided to move on.
However, today it was a different kind of announcement that had Rodgers making headlines.

Aaron Rodgers was honored as Philanthropist of the Year at the inaugural North Valley Community Foundation Gala. A future Hall of Fame quarterback, Rodgers grew up in Chico, attended Pleasant Valley High School and Butte College, and enjoyed a long NFL career:
Rodgers has donated millions of dollars to support recovery efforts following the Camp Fire and other disasters, although the foundation did not specify the exact amount. Unable to attend the event in person, Rodgers sent a video message from his home in Southern California.
“I am just trying to do my best to help out,” Rodgers said. “I have been really blessed in this life and my goal is just to give back… This award means a lot to me but I share it with all of you as well, and my beloved Butte County and Chico California, always near and dear to my heart.”
Rodgers’ humility and kindness were praised by Alexa Benson-Valvanis, president and CEO of the North Valley Community Foundation. A far cry from how the media consisntley paints the star quarterback.
