Aaron Rodgers and the Jets have had a rocky season so far, and the path in front of them seems to be getting only rockier. The quarterback for the Jets recently found himself in controversy after appreciating the Detroit Lions ownership for taking the team to their success this season. While the comment was a positive one, many felt that the comment was a dig at the New York Jets owners.
Currently, the New York Jets are third in the AFC East after winning only three games and losing nine so far this season. In their last game, the Jets took on the Seattle Seahawks and lost 26-21, with QB Aaron Rodgers going for 185 yards, completing 21 passes out of 39. The quarterback scored twice, with a solo interception.
On Wednesday, Rodgers was asked about this comment and whether the Jets ownership supported their players, like the Detroit Lions. To this, Rodgers seemed to deny his accusations against the Jets owners and went on to say that it is crucial for owners to get the right people and support them, no matter what the situation may be.
“Is that a rhetorical question? I cited an example I’ve seen. There were other examples in Green Bay, both for and maybe not as for whoever was in charge. But I think it’s an important part of ownership to hire the right guys, set the vision and support them when the outside world is trying to tear them down.” Rodgers said in a recent interview.
The New York Jets are making multiple changes to their team, with head coach Robert Saleh being fired recently along with Joe Douglas who was general manager. NY fans were definitely excited when the duo was brought in, with many going on to say that the Jets would claim the championship under their care. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. There are also rumors that Rodgers may soon leave the team.
Aaron Rodgers’ Ex-GF, Shailene Woodley Calls Their Relationship ‘Toxic’
Aaron Rodgers was briefly engaged to actress Shailene Woodley before their relationship fizzled and came to an end in 2022. The two have been pretty quiet in the fallout, but recently Woodley spoke about the same in an interview with Outside Magazine.
While Woodley did remark that certain parts of the relationship were so sweet that they still brought tears to her eyes, she also went on to say that a major chunk of it was toxic. Despite knowing that the relationship was not good for her, the ‘Divergent’ actress said that she chose to stay since she was empathizing with ‘someone else’.
