Aaron Rodgers’ marriage to the Pittsburgh Steelers has been doubted by numerous NFL analysts ever since the veteran quarterback signed with the team. One of those doubters is Steve Young, former NFL quarterback, who voiced his opinions on his latest appearance on ‘The Rich Eisen Show’. Young admitted that Rodgers’ signing with the Steelers was not indeed a “perfect match”.
Young recalled Rodgers’ time with the New York Jets, which did not exactly go so swimmingly. Aaron Rodgers and the Jets did not get along with each other so well, and the veteran quarterback churned out lackluster numbers during his time there. As a result of his poor performance, the Jets eventually released him earlier this March.
“It’s not a perfect match… for who he wants to be and what the Steelers are doing, even philosophically. So they’re going to have to figure out how to fit together. And you saw what happened with the Jets — didn’t fit very well. And I’m worried that they might not fit perfectly with Pittsburgh.” Steve Young spoke about Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers in the latest episode of ‘The Rich Eisen Show’.

Steve Young also had some words of advice on how the Pittsburgh Steelers can make the best use of Rodgers’ talents, especially his above-average power of processing. Young suggested that the Steelers might need to get players who can basically get the ball out for Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers Gets Advice From Joe Haden For Debut Season With Steelers
Aaron Rodgers seems to be getting advice and suggestions from every other retired NFL player out there. After getting suggestions from Steve Young, Rodgers also got some advice from former NFL cornerback, Joe Haden.
“You just got to be a grown man, go there, be honest. Coach Tomlin does a great job of being able to build real, genuine relationships with people. Me and him had a relationship where you could just talk…One thing he’s going to do, he’s going to be blatantly honest with you, so you just need to be honest with him. Coach Tomlin is so real. There’s no fluff, there’s no fake, so when he tells you something, he means it.” Joe Haden advised Aaron Rodgers.

Aaron Rodgers’s first season with the Pittsburgh Steelers is raising plenty of eyebrows, mainly because of his terrible performance with the New York Jets in his last couple of years. However, one should not forget that Rodgers is a Super Bowl champion, having been in the league since 2005.
